Free iPhone app for NDIS support work

Write, review and sign NDIS support notes, even when the connection drops.

NDIScribe is a free iPhone app for support workers. Unsigned drafts stay on the device unless a signed-in worker chooses the optional AI review, the whole manual flow works offline, and a note only syncs after the worker has read every word, signed it and chosen to send it.

Who it's for

Support workers

Draft notes on shift, on your own iPhone. Everything autosaves on the device, and manual drafting, review, signing and amendments all work offline, with no usage cap and no account needed. Short de-identified participant labels help keep names out of the record.

Practice managers

Authorised owners and managers get a private browser workspace for the records workers have signed and chosen to sync. Review the exact signed wording, follow amendment history, manage participants and shifts, and export what you need.

How it works

  1. Draft on shift

Notes save automatically on the worker's iPhone as they type. No signal is needed, and unsigned drafts never leave the device unless the worker chooses the optional AI review (see below).

  2. Review and sign

The worker reads the exact final wording, then signs an immutable version. Later changes become linked amendments. History is never rewritten.

  3. Sync when ready

The worker chooses Sync now. Signed records, and only signed records, reach the organisation's private manager workspace for review and export.

The optional AI review, honestly

New in version 1.1, rolling out now. After signing in, a support worker can choose to send a new draft for an AI writing review. It returns an editable suggestion, a five-point documentation checklist and wording flags. That is all it does.

  • It never scores or approves. No grades, no percentages, no pass or fail, no compliance verdicts. The worker can change every word before signing, and amendments are always manual.
  • It only happens when the worker chooses it. The app asks for consent before the first send, and drafts never leave the device otherwise. The manual path is always available.
  • Review evidence is transient. It expires after 48 hours.
  • Where the data goes. NDIScribe data is hosted in AWS Sydney (ap-southeast-2). The AI review is processed by DeepSeek, which may handle the text outside Australia. Your organisation needs to be authorised to send it.

A private workspace for managers

Authorised owners and managers sign in with a one-time email code. Workers cannot open the workspace, assign work to another member or read another worker's records.

In the workspace you can:

  • review signed records and their full amendment timeline
  • filter by participant, service type, signer and Sydney date
  • export selected records as CSV or JSON, or print them
  • manage participant labels, shifts and team members

Signed records appear only after a worker chooses Sync now. Unsigned drafts never sync.

Free on the App Store. The manual flow needs no account, so a worker can start writing on the next shift.

Are you an NDIS provider?

The shared manager workspace is set up for your organisation, so it is not something you can create from inside the app. We are onboarding providers directly at the moment. Email us and we will set your workspace up with you, usually within a business day.
